Copper Tin Alloy Powder

Copper tin alloys or tin bronzes are known for their corrosion resistance. They have high wear resistance and low friction coefficient against steel. Copper tin alloy powders have yield strength ranging 200-250 MPa, and ultimate tensile strength ranging 250-620 MPa. It has corrosion and thermal softening resistance due to the presence of tin. Copper-Tin is a high-performance alloy. It has both high electrical and high thermal conductivity. It is often used in lead frame materials. In preparation of copper–tin alloy powders, a variety of techniques including high-energy ball-milling, chemical reduction in aqueous solution and non-aqueous solution, and solid-state reaction are used. Typical applications requiring the combination of a specific minimum electrical conductivity, high ductility and enhanced strength and softening resistance include lead frames, connector pins, switches and relays, terminals, automotive harness wire, busbars, rivets, special screws, automotive conductor signal cables, railway grooved contact wire, etc, copper-tin alloy powders are widely used for these applications.
