Titanium Micron Powder

Titanium Micron Powder

Titanium Micron Powder has exceptional characteristics. The element Titanium was discovered by William Gregor in 1791. Its atomic number is 22 and its molecular weight is 47.90u. It behaves chemically similar to silicon and zirconium and in low oxidation states, its behavior is similar to that of vanadium and chromium. Although it can have valence 2+ and 3+ the main one is 4+. When heated, this chemical element burns and forms TiO2 titanium dioxide. This is found in a form known as rutile which is brown/black in color. In nature, there are forms of titanium, known as anatasite and brookite, but these are rare to find. Titanium Micron Powder is used as an opaque and whitener in porcelain enamels, which provides a high gloss finish, acid-resistant and with greater hardness. Many surgical instruments, crutches, and wheelchairs are made of titanium and they possess high strength.
