Zinc cobalt iron oxide nanoparticles are prepared from zinc, cobalt, and iron oxide. These nanoparticles are spinal crystal structure nanoparticles of 20-50nm diameter with a spherical high surface area. They are graded as magnetic particles because of their special magnetic properties. These nanoparticles are highly insoluble in aqueous solutions and thermally very stable, therefore, they are widely used for the preparation of ceramic structures, in electronics, and for the production of aerospace light-weight structures. Other physical and chemical properties of these nanoparticles are highly suitable for glass, optical, and ceramic applications. With a specific modification, they can also be used in the cathode of solid oxide fuel cells and oxygen generators.
