Cesium Tungsten Oxide (Cs0.33WO3) Nanoparticles
Cesium tungsten oxide (Cs0.33WO3) nanoparticles with their hexagonal molecular structure show a strong shielding absorption with an excellent photothermal conversion behavior in near Infra-Red electromagnetic region which is due to their free electrons and polarons. Their shielding property is considerably significant among the variety of materials with near Infra-Red (NIR) characteristics. They have super-conducting properties and improved photochemical reactivity in photoelectrochemical agents. With regards to this property, cesium tungsten oxide nanoparticles have been known as the most promising transparent material to be used as filters in solar cells. They are also efficient nanoscale photosensitizer materials in NIR photothermal therapy. So far, very few methods have been suggested for the hydrothermal and solvothermal synthesis of cesium tungsten oxide nanoparticles. Accordingly, the most common methods are solid state reaction, stirred-bead milling process and thermal plasma technology. Another method for the synthesis of cesium tungsten oxide nanoparticles is milling in organic medium with a dispersant agent.
