Tungsten Oxide sputtering targets have a compound formula of WO3 and its molecular weight is 231.84. Tungsten Oxide has yellow to green target appearance and it has a density of 7.16 g/cm3. The melting point of Tungsten Oxide is 1473 °C (2683 °F) and it has a boiling point of 1700 °C (3092 °F). Tungsten Oxide has many advantages, such as uniform color, smooth surface, no flaking, no foreign inclusions, and contaminants. Oxide compounds are not electrically conductive but certain perovskite structured is conductive of electricity. These have applications in oxygen generation systems and solid oxide fuel cells.
